I’d been using Canon’s Print Studio Pro (PSP) plugin with the Pro-100, and was very pleased with the resulting output. But between Photoshop updates and my upgrade to an M1 iMac, I lost the ability to run PSP. I considered both the Pro-200 and the Pro-300, and chose the Pro-300 for its ink. It also works with Canon鈥檚 Professional Print & Layout (PP&L) software, which is similar to PSP, only better. With PSP, I had to adjust the color and brightness in order to have the print match my calibrated, external Benq monitor. With PP&L, no color adjustment is required; just a slight bump in brightness. Plus, PP&L will run standalone vs. being just a plugin. I pretty-much just use Canon paper, and find their ICC profiles work well. I couldn’t be happier with my choice of the Pro-300. I, too, print sporadically, and never had a problem with my Pro-100 because of that. I don’t expect any with the Pro-300 either. Good luck with your decision. Jack |
